What is Zip?

Zip is one of the fastest growing consumer payments companies in North America. They’re a buy now, pay later solution that offers access to interest-free instalments. They partner with brands to allow you to split a purchase into four equal interest-free payments, paid biweekly. 

You pay 25% at checkout and then a further 25% every two weeks. The best part? The product will ship at the same time it would if you paid with any other payment method!

What is the benefit of using Zip?

Zip’s payment platform gives customers the choice to pay for their purchases via 4 simple, interest-free installments. By using Zip, you will only be paying 25% of your order on day one, with 0% interest.

How do I use Zip?

You can sign up during the checkout process - just choose Zip as the payment method. Once you provide the needed information, you will know if you are approved instantly.

Who can use Zip?

In order to have an account with Zip, you must:

  • Live in the Canada 
  • Be at least 19 years old
  • Have a valid and verifiable mobile number
  • Use a Canadian credit or debit card to make a purchase

What information do I need to provide Zip?

For initial sign up you only need to provide your date of birth, mobile number, and either a debit or credit card. After that, only your mobile number is needed to make a purchase through Zip. Zip is completely secure.

Is there a hard credit check?

No. Zip never performs a hard credit check on a customer and there is no impact on a customer’s credit rating by using Zip.

When is my first payment due?

Your first payment is due at the time of your purchase. The next three payments are bi-weekly over a 6 week period.

Can I pay the balance of my installments early?

Of course. Just log into Zip's Customer Portal and choose the order you wish to pay early.

How do refunds work?

As soon as Zip is notified of the return, our customers are refunded the amount they’ve paid to-date and Zip cancels all future payments.

My order did not go through, but it appears my card was charged. Why?

When an attempt at a purchase is made you will see that pending charge sit there. If the purchase is successful, the charge will go through after 1 business day. If the purchase is not successful and you did not receive an order confirmation, then the charge will be removed from the account after 1 business day.
